Well, finally i can get this page done. We packed
the car to go on this trip and we were excited. It was a long drive down but it was a nice ride.
Summer air coming through the window and us all picking at each other like we always do.
Poor Autumn was stuffy and almost called it off. We arrived at West Pittston and because Lynn
was driving we went around once, you know, because we could. The gate was small
to go into the triangle of graves. A feeling of " i have people here" went through
my mind as we entered.

I managed to get some good pictures of the graves that pertained to us and just walked around
trying to read some of them. Some had no writing left. There are nice pictures
on the West Pittston Historical Society page. They have a great
website. I was the only one who took a camera so i get to post what i want. Our next adventure we decided
we will be taking a camera each and getting more pictures.

After we finished there we decided to go to the Museum. There wasn't a whole lot
there but i guess i don't mind the donation we made. The parking garage across the street was cool.
Watching Lynn and waiting forever for her to get the car in the parking spot. There was construction
on the street below. The elevator in the garage looked like it would fall any moment but
we sucked it up and braved it.

The Church across from the garage was nice also. I made everyone, once we were inside, take pictures. I guess
the Planters Peanut Factory started here. There was alot of collectables for that on the ground floor.

They had a replica of the Titantic and some letters from passengers that were in the area
that were on it. We left the Museum and Started towards Corning.
Lynn wanted to take the highway instead of the little skinny roads we took on
the way down so it felt like it took forever. We got to Corning but it stated
raining like right now and buckets. I was telling
Autumn it was going to suck putting up the tent in the rain.
Secretly Lynn and i looked at Hotels, Motels, B & B' s and we just
could not find anything that wasn't outrageously out of our range. I had told Autumn,
i have this huge tent and don't get to use it, so we
were going camping with air mattresses and sleeping bags. I finally found a
cabin. Ferenbaugh Campground & Recreation Center had cabins that
we could manage. DON'T let Autumn know.
Harley was laughing, he was going to have fun. He only slipped
once. Lynn and i looked at each other and i hurriedly said something
about the tent to cover. She didn't pick up on it and we were relieved.
We stopped and got pizza and wings and went to the campground.
When i went in to pay OH did the rain come down. We got the
cabin key and drove over a little wooden bridge and turned left
and then a short right, stopping right at the cabin door. " Dawn
what are you doing?" I said "Well the rain is bad so i GOT US A CABIN."
{HEEHEE} Oh you should of seen her face. She thought she won
the lottery.

I wish we could find these kind of
deals everywhere we go and wish it wasn't raining.

We had a very eventful night. Autumn slept next to me and
against the wall. Harley was scared there
was a spider on the top bunk ceiling, so Lynn
took the top. We are sleeping and all of a sudden
the whole cabin shook and sounded like a bomb
went off. The bed Autumn and i were in was high,
we put the air mattress on top of the regular one.
I thought just for a second oh crap Lynn fell out of
bed. I rolled over and fell out of bed myself swearing.
Asking if Harley was ok because it was him that fell.
Lynn starts down the ladder for the bunk bed,
misses a step, i hear the missed step, go to grab
her and grabbed everything but what she needed
grabbed. I thought she got her damn leg stuck and
was going to break it. No everyone was alright.
Autumn is looking at us like we're crazy.

Next morning we were ready to go. Lynn had other
plans. We stopped in Bath to look through some
records but really didn't find anything. Off to
look through Cemeteries Lynn says. Well i
never knew that Harding Hill was only about
45 minutes from my house. So we stop at a
farm and Lynn asked for directions. All she
said on the way was, "Awww you should of seen
his blue blue eyes." Yeah ok Lynn. 200 feet from
the farm she pulls over and says we're here.
Here, where is here. Oh yeah we had to go through
the field and up to the top of the hill. Good thing i
stopped smoking. There are only three graves are on Harding Hill.

There is an old foundation up there. The
State i think mows up there. Would be nice i think to be
able to have a picnic up there.

We had a good time and got to see everything
for ourselves instead of just seeing things on line or seeing pictures taken
by someone else.
